Description

Vegetable litter

The pellets are made from straw collected from local farms, with no additives or adhesives.

Very high moisture absorption capacity (up to 400%)

Thanks to very low humidity (10%), the pellets absorb more urea than straw (they also absorb odors and ammonia vapors reducing odors) which is good for the poultry feet.

Very little dust

Thanks to the removal of small impurities from the straw before the manufacturing process, the pellets are almost dust-free.

High level of hygiene

During the manufacturing process the granules are free from bacteria, fungi, molds, pesticides, insects or other potential pathogens ( does not cause allergies ).

Optimal shape

The fragmentation of the granules is adapted to the needs of small animals.

Performance

Pellets are four times more efficient than straw, allow a maximum of 2-3kgs / m²

Advantages

The absence of dust, unwanted microorganisms (less risk of infection) have a positive influence on animal welfare.

  • High quality fertilizer

The waste pellets go through the rapid composting process and can be used successfully as an organic fertilizer.

  • Less frequent change of litter

The granules make it possible to reduce the quantity of household waste (up to 50%) and to decrease the cost of frequent replacement of the substrate.

Diatomaceous earth

What is Diatomaceous Earth?

Fruit of the accumulation of diatom shells (micro-algae) over several million years in the bed of ancient seabed, Diatomaceous Earth appears in the form of a brown or white porous rock which, once reduced to powder, reveals a wide range of applications, some of which have been known since Antiquity ...

Diatomaceous earth is non-toxic and safe for the environment.
Diatoms are covered with glass and come in various shapes and very beautiful, like microscopic lace.

How does she act?

The biocide-insecticidal action of diatomaceous earth is purely mechanical, without side effects and is applied on many parasites and crawling insects (red lice, ants, cockroaches, bugs, ticks, fleas ...) which invade habitats. and / or animals.
Under a microscope, diatomaceous earth looks like small, sharp glass crystals that injure insects. They become dehydrated and die.

How to use it ?

- In a thin layer at the bottom of the henhouse under the straw

- Composed of nearly 85% of mineral silica, there are also about fifteen trace elements and minerals naturally present in the composition of Diatomaceous Earth including boron, manganese, titanium, copper, sodium zirconium , magnesium and calcium ...
add 2 to 5g of diatomaceous earth per 100g of food each day so that your animals can enjoy the benefits of this powder.
A two-month cure is recommended.

Why an uncalcined food grade diatomaceous earth? Because it is the only one that we can use for external and internal use for our hens. There is another so-called calcined and non-food form which is very toxic if swallowed.

Precautions: Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
